Greeks embrace recycling!
The results of a recent poll regarding recycling in Greece carried out by ALCO are very encouraging. It appears that 97% of the Greek citizens state that they support recycling while 92% say that they use recycling in their households.
The poll shows as well the frequency of recycling (95% at least once per week and 69% at least twice per week).
Nevertheless, our country still lags behind the targets set by EU and United Nations. Greece presents the lowest shares of recycling in the EU , while it is found among the lowest three countries, along with Malta and Romania.
