Ermioni Raftopoulou is PhD Candidate in the Department of Biology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Bioeconomy and Biotechnology Consultant at the Microbial Biotechnology Unit. She obtained her MSc in Bioeconomics (9,78/10) from the Department of Economics at the University of Piraeus in association with the Department of Biology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and her BSc in Economics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. One of her works was oral presentation at an international conference (Mikrobiokosmos, Patras, 2019).

Her research interests lie on the field of Bioprocess Economics. She has cooperated with the Publishing House ‘Broken Hill Publishers Ltd’ and has contributed to the translation of one scientific book on biotechnology ethics.

Among others, she has worked as Business Consultant at a Consulting Company (10/2015 – 10/2017).
